The authoritative CAD source files are the Fusion 360 archives in CAD Files/. The repo also includes OpenRocket render exports for the rocket configuration in Simulation/.
Rendered geometry shows shape, not feasibility. A render or STEP file is not evidence that a mechanism assembles, carries load, or performs; those need a model that closes and an inert physical test.
These are rendered by tools/review_figures.py from the same code the tests exercise; CI fails if they go stale.
The specified four-bar (ground 25, coupler 60, input 15, output 15 mm) cannot close at any drive angle from 0 to 92 degrees (D-002).
The NACA 0012, 60 mm chord profile produced by naca_fin_generator.py, with chord and maximum thickness as sampled.
| ID | Discrepancy | Status |
|---|---|---|
| D-005 | Project33FourBar.py draws the coupler as 25 mm and exports four separate bars; the model’s 60 mm coupler cannot close |

| D-002 | The linkage dimensions themselves cannot form a closed loop | Open |
| D-021 | The folding-rocket archive references an MG996R servo that the BOM does not list | Open |
| D-022 | The C4 mass “baseline” is 7075-T6, but the prototype material plan below is PLA+/PETG | Open |

Copies Project33NacaFin and the tested geometry module into Fusion’s API Scripts folder |
Run python tools/install_fusion_script.py, then open Fusion and run Project33NacaFin from Utilities -> Scripts and Add-Ins. The script creates a CAD-only NACA 0012, 60 mm fin profile sketch for review.
Material plan:
| Part | Prototype Material | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Airframe and folding-fin structure | PLA+ or PETG for inert bench prototype | Use PETG/nylon/composite only after fit and heat checks |
| Servo horns/linkages | Stock servo horn plastic for bench tests | Replace with stronger linkage if load testing shows flex |
| Electronics mounts | FDM printed PLA+/PETG | Keep sensor mount rigid relative to rocket axis |
